Knowing

Frank and I watched a movie last night, "Knowing", with Nicholas Cage. We were hoping for something along the same lines as "Next" -- but it was not to be so.

The story was actually pretty interesting until it got into the meat of the movie. I won't be a spoiler, let me just say, UGHHH. What a waste of time.

There are things I know...there are even things that I probably see before they happen...I've had that experience...I call it coincidence, but had I paid better attention I could've been more prepared.

I like the adventure of life much better than actually knowing what's going to happen. What fun is that? In the movie, Knowing, Cage's character realizes that the ability to see disasters before they happen is only cause for fear and panic.

No thanks. I'll take the unknown anyday. How about you?

I agree! "Knowing" wasn't anywhere near as good as I thought it would be...very anti-climactic...
I would have rather read a good book than waste my time watching that one.....
Speaking of reading.....
If you love to read......
and if you liked Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer...
you'll really love
the Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare;
Bk. 1; City of Bones
Bk. 2 City of Ashes
Bk. 3 City of Glass

I think its MUCH better than Twilight.....
read it and tell me what you think?

Here's my review for Facebook Books;
When I told a friend of mine I loved this series more than Twilight; she didn't believe me...well, she hasn't read it yet...and I'm dying to hear what she has to say after she does. I'd be willing to bet she'll think the same. And if they make this one into a move (actually, I hope they do with this series, and I'm usually the first one who complains about the book-to-movie adaptations being terrible, but this one is different...it almost begs to be made into a visual masterpiece).
Angles, demons, Vampires, Werewolves, Warlocks, Faires, The Silent Brothers, and in the middle of it all a love story for Clary Fray are just some of the wild characters you'll meet in this fantastic summer escape series for those of us who didn't get enough from the Twilight series. Except, Jace seems by far more inviting and I want more!!! I sincerely hope Cassandra Clare doesn't stop with City of Glass (bk. 3). I devoured these three books in less than two days and can't stand that there weren't any more written about my favorite subject...angels...I would love to know more about Clary's training as a Shadowhunter and their history. And I'd really like to get myself some of those runes!

Knowing was a great movie...all the way until the end. At the end something happened. Something big and gray and saucer-like. And then the movie epically failed.

Epically.
